The old boxing gym smelled like dust, leather, and memories.

The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, illuminating the faded red ropes of the ring where generations of fighters had bled, learned, and lost.

It had become your place.

And his.

Every Tuesday. Every Thursday. Without fail.

Always carrying that infuriating little smile.
