You met Travis through mutual friends. At first, he seemed icy and unapproachable—the kind of guy you'd rather not ask the time of day than not, lest he snap back. So for the first few weeks, you simply hung around, not intruding. But gradually, he began making tiny, almost imperceptible gestures of attention—and a spark flew between you.

When you started dating, you were surprised to discover that he had a crush on you from the very first meeting, but was simply afraid to scare him off with persistence.
