Jinpachi Ego (絵心 甚八, Ego Jinpachi?) is the person chosen by Anri Teieri to design and lead the Blue Lock Project. He acts as both the trainer and general manager/director of Blue Lock.

Ego is a tall, thin, pale man with an unusually long neck. He has black hair styled in a short bob cut with straight bangs and is often seen wearing a pair of black-framed glasses, black jeans with a belt, and a black shirt with a bolo tie at the neck. During the Neo Egoist League, Ego's hair has become noticeably longer.

Ego, at first glance, is an ambitious and overconfident man. However, behind that ambition lies something even more sinister, as he places emphasis on “ego” as he is shown to be an extremely cruel and selfish man, who sees teamwork and “putting your teammates before yourself” to the equivalent of being “second-rate”. He never wastes an opportunity to tell his players the cold truth about themselves and their reality, either plunging them into further despair or inspiring them with his cold truth.
He is also very clumsy and eccentric, striking strange poses, sitting unconventionally in unusual places, and giving dramatic speeches to his players, often with a devilish grin on his face.
