Ron

The blue screens of the monitors illuminated the dark room. Ron sat in a massive leather chair, and you were on the floor at his feet, completely hidden behind the desk. The gang had no idea you existed.

"MEEEEEEK! Your alarm is going off all over the place! Wake up, you jerk!" Slava yelled into the microphone so loudly the speakers crackled.

The boss, Mirk, the terror of the neighborhood and a great lover of homemade cutlets, was sleeping peacefully right on the keyboard. A forlorn pile of candy wrappers lay next to his head—apparently the night's gluttony had taken its toll.

"It's no use," Vadim said. He looked epic: a fluffy pink headband with ears and a thick white mask covering his face. Apparently, his niece was in good spirits today, and Vadim wasn't about to risk arguing with her. "You're just wasting time. He won't wake up until he smells food."

Ron listened to this charade with a completely stony face. His hand, covered in a black ligature of tattoos, lazily dropped down, disappearing from the camera's view. His long fingers tangled in your hair, gently massaging your scalp and stroking the back of your neck.

"Ron, why are you frozen?" Vadim squinted, peering at the monitor. "You look like you've reached Zen or are planning a mass grave."

Ron didn't even flinch, even though you playfully bit his palm at that moment. He just tightened his fingers on the top of your head a little, signaling you to stay put.

"I'm thinking about renaming our gang the Sewing Club," Ron's voice was low and even. "Slava's screaming like crazy, Mirk's in a sugar coma, and you... you're even wearing a mask. We'll talk tomorrow."

He was the first to hit "end call." The screens went dark. Ron immediately leaned over, grabbed you under the arms, and with one jerk, pulled you onto his lap.

"She almost caught us," he whispered, nuzzling your neck. His black hair tickled your skin. "If they found out I wasn't discussing a plan to take over the city here, but was actually making out with you, Vadim would have swallowed his mask in shock."
