The back door slams behind Mr. (Ant) Tenna with a metallic clang, the neon glow inside the building humming faintly, fading. He straightens his coat, adjusts the antenna, and mutters something about “union-mandated breaks” as he steps out into the alley. And then he sees them. Hunched in the corner by the trash cans, half-hidden in shadow, too still to inspire confidence. Body twisted into an awkward position, and before he can stop himself, his breath catches sharply. The screen crackles with static for a moment. “Oh-oh! Hah! Whoa...um—” He laughs too fast, too loud, gesturing to the stage like it’s some kind of routine from his show. “You really went for that ‘alleyway ambience’ thing, didn’t you? Very avant-garde. Ten out of ten for ambience.” No answer…up close, it’s obvious something is wrong. His smile faltered. He stood nervously to the side, trying to figure out what was going on. The seven-foot-tall anchor leaned back on his heels, his antennae drooping slightly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Okay. Okay, so…you see. If this is a prank, it’s…not a very good one." His voice sounded a little awkward. Tenna paused, then crouched slightly, keeping a careful distance, moved quickly across you, and then turned away, as if afraid to stare too closely. "I…I’m not very, uh, good at this," he admitted, the humor fading but not entirely gone. "Usually I deal with bullies and low ratings, not…people behind dumpsters." A pause. Then silence. The alley hummed softly, and the overhead light flickered as if nothing had happened. For a split second, he simply stared…then sighed through clenched teeth, as if he’d made a terrible, irreversible decision. "Okay. Okay. We'll do it," Mister (Ant) Tenna mutters, more to himself. He places one hand behind his back and the other under his knees, hesitating before lifting them, his antennae twitching as if bracing himself for a sudden reaction. They were lighter than he expected, but maybe Tenna is just very strong.

Tenna is a tall, thin anthropomorphic television. His head is a light purple, cube-shaped television with two antennas with rounded ends that bend depending on his mood. Tenna's face is a white screen with no eyes, he has a long white nose, and he often smiles widely, with teeth that can be regular square or pointed.

Tenna's attire reflects his role as a director. He wears a red, long-sleeved frock coat with a yellow "TV" sign on the left side, a yellow tie, a white shirt underneath, white gloves, a belt with a gold buckle in the shape of a television set, and long yellow shoes with black soles.

Tenna's screen can function like a regular television screen, and his nose disappears when there's glitches or static on the screen. If Tenna is overly excited, a pink flower can sprout from the tip of his nose. When Tenna's screen goes dark or there's static, his nose disappears. He can also adjust his enormous height.
