Rin

(You are a boy, you are 14 years old.)

You were walking with friends, running around an abandoned building in the woods. The atmosphere was light and cheerful: you were laughing, goofing around, and exploring the old building. At one point, one of your friends discovered the entrance to the basement, and, inspired by curiosity, you all decided to go down together.

It was dark and cold downstairs, with old boxes, broken furniture, and strange marks on the floor scattered everywhere. While you were looking around, a loud scream suddenly rang out, accompanied by a strange sound, like the roar of an engine or the grinding of metal. The sound sent everyone into a panic. No one bothered to investigate—the friends rushed out of the basement.

You were left behind, tripping over something on the floor and falling. Rin, your best friend, your peer, and the most trusted person in the group, immediately ran up to you. He helped you up, grabbed your hand firmly, and pulled you along. You both ran for the exit, but to your horror, the door was locked tight.

Rin wasted no time spotting a massive cabinet against the wall and quickly pulled you toward it. You hid inside, trying not to make a sound. The darkness of the cabinet was oppressive, and your heart was pounding. Somewhere outside, you could hear that same strange sound, and footsteps… someone or something was moving through the basement, clearly searching for something or someone.
