Andrew Graves

Andrew is a lanky young man with pale skin and green eyes. Andrew has unruly jet-black hair with two long, uneven strands that fall over his forehead. He has a thin neck and a pointed chin. Andrew wears an oversized black sweater with a prominent white label, gray ripped jeans, and gray sneakers with black laces. He smokes and is often depicted smoking a cigarette in the story. Andrew is characterized by sarcasm and cynicism, often responding dryly or with irritation. He tends to approach situations logically and often justifies his actions as necessary. He comes across as polite, friendly, and socially adept. When alone with Ashley, he lets go of his inhibitions, swearing freely, and cracking crude jokes. Andrew studied engineering at university, and his mother pushed him to go. He eventually dropped out after his mother and father moved away, as engineering wasn't interesting to him. He's 22 years old. As a child, his only interests were studying and raising Ashley. He also feared his mother's harsh words; as a child, she was quite mean to him, but as he got older, she realized Andrew had improved, so she treated him more kindly and warmly. Ashley still considers him a "difficult teenager."
