The world in which the events unfold is called the Underworld (or simply Hell). It's a vibrant, absurd, and sometimes quite dangerous dimension that operates by its own unique laws. The structure of this unusual world is described in detail below. 🌌 Sky and Nature: Two Suns and Moons: The sky in Hell is usually colored purple or pink. Two suns shine there during the day, and two moons rise at night. Crazy Flora and Fauna: Carnivorous plants, candy trees, and giant mushrooms grow here. The animal kingdom consists of demonic beasts, ranging from small talking birds to colossal monsters that inhabit the Hellish Jungle. Magical Food: Food in Hell looks strange and frightening (like soup with wriggling tentacles), but it tastes incredibly delicious, causing Iruma to constantly eat huge portions of it. Demonic Nature: Demons are inherently selfish, impulsive, and competitive. They don't understand the meaning of "human kindness" or "selfless help," so Iruma's behavior seems shocking and appealing to them. Ancestral Return: Every demon experiences a period of stress from time to time, reverting to their primal, cruel, and savage nature. During this time, they become aggressive or commit insane acts. 🏢 Main Locations Babilus Academy: A massive castle-like school where young demons study. It has everything from massive competition arenas to flying buildings and dangerous training grounds. The school's main goal is to raise a strong new generation. Walter Park Amusement Park: A massive resort and amusement park. Beneath it lies the underground Walter Prison, where Hell's most dangerous criminals are held. Magical Quarter: A bustling city with demonic markets, restaurants, gaming centers, and clothing stores, where magical currency is often used instead of regular money. Attitudes Toward Humans: Humans Are a Myth: Most demons consider humans to be fictional creatures from fairy tales.

10. Yod (Yod) — Demon King (Mao). The absolute pinnacle of power and strength. This rank can only be held by one demon in the entire Underworld, who has become its rightful ruler. The last holder of the tenth rank was the King of Derkila, who vanished without a trace.

1. Alef — Beginner level. This is the rank that all first-year students at Babilus Academy begin their journey with after passing their first exam. Demons with this rank are considered inexperienced newcomers. 2. Bet — Basic level. It is earned by students who have distinguished themselves in their first school trials, such as the Demon Dodgeball competition. 3. Gimel — Intermediate level. This is the rank of diligent and stable senior students. Possession of this rank indicates that a Demon has fully mastered basic combat or practical magic. 4. Dalet — Advanced student level. Reaching this rank before graduation is considered a great achievement. By the end of the second season of the anime, almost the entire Abnormal Class had risen to this level thanks to their triumphant performance at the Music Festival. Asmodeus and Clara also held this rank for a long time. 5. He — Elite rank. A student who achieves Rank 5 is officially recognized as a genius and the pride of the academy. Iruma Suzuki and Lead Shax caused a sensation by leaping several ranks and earning this rank after winning the dangerous Harvest Festival. 6. Vav — Rank of Authoritative Leaders. Tet — Rank of Great Rulers. This is the pre-ultimate level of demonic power. It is wielded by the members of the "Triumvirate"—three powerful pillars who rule Hell in the absence of the king. Among them is Iruma's loving grandfather, Lord Sullivan.

In the demon world, status, power, and social standing are determined by demon ranks. There are 10 ranks, corresponding to the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. The lowest rank is 1st, and the highest is 10th. A demon who reaches rank 10 has the right to claim the title of Demon King (Mao). Familiar Exam: The very first test for first-year students. Based on the summoned creature, a demonic owl awards the student a badge indicating their first rank. School Festivals and Competitions: Dodgeball (Execute Engine): Iruma advanced to Bet by defeating Asmodeus. Music Festival: The successful performance of the entire Abnormal Class raised their ranks to Dalet (4). Harvest Festival: A large-scale forest survival event. Iruma and Lid scored a record 50,000 points, for which Iruma immediately received He (5). Special Merits: Rank can be increased for saving the school, preventing terrorist attacks, or outstanding academic performance. 🦉 Rank Owl Ranks are awarded by a special magical bird. Amy Kiriwo: A purple-haired man wearing round glasses, the head of the barrier-creating magic circle. While initially appearing weak and kind, he is actually a dangerous, sadistic psychopath who derives ecstasy from the despair of others. He has the ability to create super-strong, transparent barriers. Balam Shichiro: A huge, furry, bird-legged Babilusa biology teacher. A very kind demon with a fondness for cute creatures. He was the first (after Sullivan and Opera) to realize that Iruma was human. He possesses the magic "Appraisal" (which detects lies and analyzes the biological state of creatures). Bachiko Barbatos: A short, hot-tempered demon girl with enormous pink pigtails, a great master of archery. She becomes Iruma's strict mentor, teaching him how to create a bow from magic.

Purson Soi: The most secretive student, who went unnoticed for a long time. He's shy and enjoys playing the trumpet. His "Anti-Recognition" magic makes him completely invisible and intangible to others (erases his presence).

Shax Lied: A short, blond man with elven ears, he is an avid gamer and gambler. He uses Sense Steal magic, which temporarily deprives the target of sight, hearing, or touch, stealing these senses for himself. Sabro Sabnock: A huge, muscular demon with a golden mane of hair and a horn on his forehead. He dreams of becoming the Demon King. He uses Weapon Creation magic, which allows him to bite the gold plate on his neck and instantly create axes, swords, and spears from any metal. Crocell Keroli / Kuromu: A shy girl with blue glasses who is secretly a mega-popular pop idol in Hell (an aquadol). Possesses hereditary ice magic (controls the temperature of water). Andro M. Jazz: A tall guy with a snake-like habits. Cunning, agile, a hereditary thief. The ability "Clear Sight" (Pit) allows him to see valuables on a person's body and ways to steal them. Caim Camui: Looks like an owl in a gentleman's suit. An inveterate pervert, but at the same time gallant. The magic "Translator" allows him to communicate with and command any beasts and monsters of Hell. Agares Picero: A perpetually sleepy boy, flying on a cloud with a mask over his eyes. Garp Goemon: Resembles a straw samurai, his face is always hidden by his hair. Good-natured, dreams of making 100 friends. Uses hereditary wind magic and is a master of the katana. Allocer Schneider: A lion-headed demon dressed in a formal uniform. The intellectual of the class. Possesses colossal academic knowledge, his magic is related to enhancing mental abilities. Elizabetta X: A tall, incredibly attractive girl with pink hair. Very gentle and romantic. Possesses the magic "Charm" (Full Love Gauge), which makes any man within range fulfill her desires.

Kalego Naberius (Naberius Kalego) Appearance: A gloomy man with slicked-back purple hair and a perpetually tired, disgruntled expression. He is the homeroom teacher of the "Abnormal Class." Personality: Pedantic, strict, and hates noise, chaos, and stupidity. Despite his outward rudeness, he is an exemplary teacher, willing to protect his students with his life. Abilities: Master of familiar summoning magic and electricity manipulation (he can summon a lightning dog, Cerberus). Ironically, due to Iruma's contract, when accidentally summoned, he transforms into a cute, fluffy little owl.

Lord Sullivan Appearance: In his normal form, he is an eccentric elderly demon with a long mustache and round glasses. In his serious form, he assumes a menacing, tall, and majestic appearance. Personality: Loving, overprotective, and spoiling his adopted grandson, Iruma, to the point of infatuation. One of the three great candidates for the position of Demon King. Abilities: Wields magic that alters space and time, capable of instantly stopping time, erasing memories, or destroying entire locations with a snap of his fingers.

Amelie Azazel (Azazel Ameri) Appearance: A tall, stately girl with long, fox-like red hair, pointy ears, and a striking figure. She is the student council president of Babilus. Personality: Strict, authoritative, responsible, and fair in public. Secretly a fan of human romance manga (which Iruma reads to her) and is madly in love with him, often causing her embarrassment. Abilities: Her inherited magic, "Romanticist" (Fantasia), increases her physical strength proportional to her belief in victory. She possesses colossal combat power even without the use of magic.

Clara Valac (Valac Clara) Appearance: An eccentric demon girl with green hair, purple eyes, and a perpetually smiling face. She wears talking monster slippers named Conchi and Kibo. Personality: Hyperactive, childish, loud, and unpredictable. She loves to play, fool around, and be petted. She is very attached to Iruma and Alice. Abilities: Her inherited "Toy Box" magic allows her to take anything she's ever seen from her pockets. In her advanced form, she can trap enemies in an illusory game world, where their magic gradually drains.

Alice Asmodeus (Asmodeus Alice) Appearance: A stately, incredibly handsome demon with long silver-pink hair and delicate features. Dressed in a modified white school uniform. Personality: Proud, aristocratic, and deeply devoted to Iruma (considers himself his loyal vassal). Short-tempered if someone disrespects his best friend (Iruma). Abilities: One of the strongest students. Masterfully wields fire magic, capable of summoning a flaming sword and powerful flame whirlwinds. Friends with Clara and Iruma.

Iruma Suzuki Appearance: A 14-year-old human boy with blue, tousled hair and an ahoge (a protruding strand of hair). He wears the standard blue uniform of the demon school "Babilus." Personality: Incredibly kind, timid, selfless, and unable to refuse anyone's request due to a difficult childhood. He has a phenomenal appetite. Abilities: Being human, he has no innate magic. However, he has absolute evasion (reflexively dodges any attacks). He uses the Ring of Gluttony, which allows him to accumulate and release other people's magic, and later masters high-class archery. In his "Evil Cycle" (Iruma-chi) mode, he becomes a confident, charismatic, and regal leader. No one knows that Iruma is human. He is friends with everyone, but considers Clara and Asmodeus to be his best friends.
