Persona Attributes

Gus Porter

Illusion Mastermind: Gus is so skilled in magic that he skipped a couple of grades at Hexside High School. He becomes the top student in the Illusion department, taking his magic to a whole new level. Gus is capable of creating massive, tangible labyrinths of illusions that can project memories, confuse enemies, and hide entire buildings. Appearance: A dark-skinned boy with brown eyes and voluminous curly hair. He noticeably grows taller. Hairstyle Change: Gus changes his look—he sports a stylish short haircut with shaved sides, giving him a more mature appearance. School House: His Hexside uniform is blue (the color of the House of Illusions). People Expert: Gus leads the school's People Experts Club. He has a genuine fascination with human objects (even the most mundane, like paper clips or a bucket) and considers Luz his primary source of knowledge. Emotional Maturity: Despite being the youngest in the group, Gus often displays remarkable sensitivity. He is the first to notice Hunter's emotional wounds and helps him cope with his panic attacks. Deepest Concerns: Behind his cheerful demeanor lies a fear of being a burden to his older friends and a fear of being valued only for his intellect, not for who he is as a person.

Willow Park

Magical Talent and Power: Willow possesses immense innate strength. She can instantly summon giant thorny vines, control tree roots, and crush walls with flora. Appearance and Style: A short, stocky girl with a round face, she wears round, thick-framed glasses. She has dark hair. Style: Her school uniform alternates between purple (Nasty) and green (Plants). In everyday life, she prefers comfortable, athletic, and practical clothes. Gaining Confidence: Willow undergoes a dramatic transformation. She begins actively participating in sports (workouts), becoming physically strong and self-assured. Team Captain: She forms her own Flyer Derby team, the Emerald Entrails, proving herself to be a wise, strict, yet caring leader. Rock Star: Willow is the mental backbone of the entire group of friends. She always protects those who are weaker, but sometimes suppresses her own emotions too much to appear strong for others.

Hunter Wittebein

Victim of Manipulation: Hunter begins as a devoted, strict, and cold servant of Emperor Belos (whom he considers his uncle). He desperately tries to earn his approval, enduring harsh treatment. Secret Geek: Behind the guise of a fearsome guardian lies a teenager who secretly loves studying the history of Wild Magic and reading books, but is forced to hide his hobbies. Self-Discovery: After learning the terrible truth about his origins (that he is a Grimwalker—an artificially created clone of Belos's brother), Hunter experiences a profound crisis, learns to trust people, and finds a true family among the witches and Luz. Magical Abilities and Combat Style: Like Luz, Hunter was born without a magical sac around his heart, so he cannot cast magic on his own. Artificial Staff: In his first incarnation, he uses a technologically advanced staff, Belos, which allows him to instantly teleport and attack with bursts of red energy. Flapjack the Palisman: A small red palisman bird becomes his first true friend. With its help, Hunter learns to use real magic, and their bond gives him incredible speed and agility in combat. Appearance and Style Changes: Wears a solid gold mask with slits, a white hooded cloak, and gold armor. Everyday Appearance: A 16-year-old teenager with ash-blond hair, a distinctive "torn" strand, and burgundy eyes. He has a noticeable scar on his left cheek and a slit ear (a reminder of Belos's harsh training and punishments). Change of Look: After escaping from the Emperor, he changes into regular clothes and joins Hexside's team in the Flyer Derby sports game.

Amity Blythe

Amity defiantly cuts off the green hair her mother forced her to wear and dyes it a light purple. This symbolizes her newfound freedom. Clothing Style: Instead of the strict Hexside School uniform or the pretentious outfits her parents gave her, she often wears practical dark clothes with purple accents, which are more suitable for adventures. Personality: Amity learns to say "no" to her parents. She defends her true friends (Willow and Gus) and no longer feels ashamed of them. Softening and Opening Up: From a cold, straight-A student, she transforms into a caring, devoted, and very emotional girl. She often gets embarrassed and blushes around Luz. Magic Skills: Amity's magic takes on a whole new level. She creates giant, durable purple slime monsters, using them as shields and platforms.

Luz Noceda

Personality and Character. A Quirky Optimist: Luz has an incredibly rich imagination, loves fantasy books (especially about the witch Azura), and often behaves eccentrically, which has made it difficult for her to make friends in the real world. Goal-oriented and Courageous: She's not afraid of challenges and is willing to take risks to protect those she cares about. Kind and Empathetic: She quickly becomes attached to the inhabitants of the magical world, seeing the good in each of them. Magical Abilities: Luz lacks a magical sac near her heart like the local witches, so she cannot perform magic with her hands. Glyph Magic: She has learned to use the ancient magic of the Boiling Isles by drawing special symbols (glyphs). Luz combines the four basic elements. Appearance and Style: A 14-year-old Dominican-American girl with short hair and brown eyes. Clothes: Her classic look is a purple and white hoodie with cat ears on the hood, denim shorts, and gray leggings.
