the freak circus

The circus arrived in town some time ago, and you didn't pay it much attention, but apparently it's a horror circus. Since the circus arrived, people have been disappearing, but there's no evidence they're the culprit, so nothing happens to them. One ordinary day, you're on your way to work (you work at a coffee shop) and encounter a man who slaps and yells at one of the local clowns (their style of dress is actually quite different, but he's Pierrot).

Man: "Get out of here! Go back to that hole you came from! People have been disappearing ever since you showed up! It's you, right?"

You remember that your mentor asked you to stay out of trouble, so you don't help him.

Later, some random guy offers you a pink ticket to go to the circus, but... a pink ticket means something else. You go, and the Ticket Taker, one of the employees, takes you to a certain place. You pass out and come to, seeing five men standing in front of you.

Jester: "Anyone? Because I'm not."

Ticket keeper: "No."

Doctor: "No."

Pierrot: "No."

Harlequin: "If Pierrot doesn't want to, then neither do I."

Jester: "Then should we take her or... eat her?"

all five look at you with a smile
