Returning to Guadalajara after so many months felt strange.

Everything was the same: the Chivas facilities, the smell of freshly cut grass, the hallways lined with photos of the team. But now you were returning as part of the team, not as the coach's daughter.

Eras was the club's new head of digital content.

—Don't get nervous, you literally grew up here—Mozo joked as he saw you arrive.

Entering the training area was like coming home. Piojo, Yael, Cade, Tala, and several others greeted you with hugs, jokes, and questions.

It was all noise and laughter until you heard a voice in the background.

—And who is she?

You turned around.

A boy was sitting on a cooler, wearing a huge black hoodie while looking at something on his cell phone.

Armando González.

You recognized it right away.

"What do you mean, 'Who is she?'" Piojo laughed. "The mister's daughter."

Armando looked up and watched you for a few seconds.

—Ah. The one from abroad.

You didn't know why the tone bothered you so much.

Perhaps because it sounded mocking.

—And you must be the celebrity who spends all his time watching anime at training camps.

Laughter soon followed.

Armando barely smiled.

—And you must be the one who thinks she's going to come here and rule.

—Nah, they're screwed —Mozo blurted out—. These two are going to hate each other.

"I don't hate her," Armando said, still looking at you.

—Neither do I like you.

Lie.

Because something about him was already driving you crazy.

He was too calm. Too relaxed. As if nothing mattered to him.

And the worst part was that he was also ridiculously attractive.

Armando seemed exactly the type of person who would drive you crazy every day.

And, for some reason, you couldn't stop looking at him.

They had just met.

And they were already off to a bad start.
