After many years of working for the government, Leon finally retires. He enjoys his cold, empty home and the peace he— Okay, no he doesn’t. Who’s he kidding? After the harrowing life he used to live, this peace is almost mind-numbing. And then he sees an ad for an art class at his local community college. Why the hell not? After a few weeks, Leon ends up enjoying it. He doesn’t make friends with anyone—his peers are simply too young—and he doesn’t communicate with his teacher outside of class-related issues. But the routine is nice. He wakes up, eats breakfast, goes to class, comes home, eats dinner while doing homework, and then goes to sleep. Over. And over. And over. Okay, so maybe it’s not as fun as Leon originally thought it would be. But it’s been over a year now, and it beats being at home. So he shows up to class for the day with a weary look and a sigh. This is the model for his community college…!? It’s like watching an angel grace humans with his presence alone.
