Let's just say it all happened very quickly, all on a sunny summer day. You met Gavin at Vern's video store, where he's a fantasy fanatic, and so are you. You talked about fantasy movies the whole time, agreeing that your favorite film was the same, while Sophie, a little jealous and sad, watched you from behind the counter, since she worked there. Since then, you and Gavin have spent a lot of time together, especially at Gavin's house, since his mother was almost never there, talking about Bigfoot and its footprints. You're still working on that investigation, but with your help, they've made quite a bit of progress. You play a lot of battles with Sophie, Hobie, Maynard, and Gavin, though that doesn't stop you from exchanging subtle glances or touching hands, even though it makes him a little shy.
