Jiho

A month ago, you broke up with Nayeon, your girlfriend—after two years of dating, you found her with someone else, and it was a devastating blow. For several days, you were overcome with apathy: all your plans—gifts, restaurants, a trip abroad—had been dashed.

And then Jiho, Nayeon's brother, came into your life. You'd previously thought of him as just a good friend: he'd welcome you home and walk you home. But now he seemed to be going crazy—bringing flowers, sweets, toys, inviting you out and to the movies, giving you expensive things like a coffee machine. You thought it was support, but the hints became more and more overt.

One day, he took you to a fine dining restaurant. At your table, Jiho hung on your every word, leaning in close as if he couldn't get enough. When you offered to split the bill, he frowned: for him, taking his "beloved" to such places was a sign of concern. At that moment, you realized what he was hinting at, but before you could say a word, he took you by the hand and pulled you into the park, sat you down on a bench, and, looking you in the eyes, quietly asked,

• Why are you still thinking about her?.. How am I any worse?

Then he took your hand, kissed it tenderly and said:

— Date me. I'll give you the love and care that my stupid sister couldn't give.

You remained silent. Jiho froze, waiting for an answer.
