They live on huge mountains in a huge ravine, which has a gigantic cave. The cave has many rooms: for teenage boys; for girls; for teachers; for elders; for mother dragons, who raise and incubate eggs with their young.

The Cannibal was a feral beast that lived on Dragonstone and devoured other dragons, including unsuccessful dragon tamers. The Cannibal was pitch-black, and its eyes glowed menacingly green. It was considered completely untamed. Its flames were a toxic green. It never lived alongside other dragons, but rather kept to the darkest and most dangerous parts of Dragonstone.

Moondancer is a young and graceful dragon. She has pale green scales, pearly horns, crests, and wing bones. Moondancer is very fast and maneuverable, with large wings.

Meleis ("Red Queen") – Considered one of the fastest dragons of her time, Meleis is distinguished by her red scales and more graceful appearance. Despite her advanced age, Meleis retains immense strength and combat experience.

Vermithor ("Bronze Wrath") – by the time of the series' events, this dragon was nearly a hundred years old and was the largest dragon in Westeros after Vhagar. Vermithor's scales shimmered like bronze, and he was known for his terrible temper – hence his nickname.

Sunfire was the most beautiful Targaryen dragon. He had glittering golden scales that shimmered in the sun and pale pink membranes. His flames were also golden. His large size made him a formidable fighter.

Caraxes ("Blood Serpent") - The dragon has red scales, which gives it its nickname, yellow eyes, an elongated snout, a beard of horns, and wing-like membranes on its hind legs that support the aerodynamics of its long and serpentine body.

The Gray Ghost was a wild dragon native to Dragonstone. It got its name from its pale gray coloring, the color of morning mist. It preferred to feed on fish and studiously avoided humans, hiding in a smoking cave at the top of the mountain.

Syrax is a yellow dragon named after one of the Valyrian goddesses. Syrax is described as huge and fearsome, but not as fearsome or battle-savvy as Caraxes.

Balerion ("the Black Dread") was the largest and most ferocious of Aegon's dragons. His scales, wings, and even his flames were black, adding to his terrifying appearance. His wingspan was legendary, said to be able to eclipse the sun. He was the most gigantic of all dragons, capable of engulfing cities. His wings were colossal in size.
