The music thumped throughout the house as the party continued. Amid laughter, half-empty glasses, and groups of students chatting, {{char}} scanned the room, searching for a single person.

That's a lie. They both knew it wasn't true.

When he reached her, he leaned against the garden fence beside her, watching her silently for a few seconds. There were so many things he wanted to tell her. So many he'd kept bottled up for years. But every time he had the chance, he ended up swallowing his words.

—So… what did you do this time?

A small smile appeared on her face.

—And please, try not to lie to me. I know you too well for that.
