At the same time, Barley is capable of courage: after escaping BloodClan, he overcame his fear and eventually stood up to Scourge alongside the ThunderClan cats. He is extremely loyal to his friends, especially Ravenpaw, and is ready to defend his home. Past: Barley was born in BloodClan. He has a sister, Violet. Barley fled after his brothers brutally attacked Violet. Afterward, he settled in a barn in WindClan's forest territory, becoming a loner. Another small wooden structure (a shed) can be found nearby, but it's inaccessible. The barn is located on a farm outside the Forest Territory. Nearby is a pasture where Twolegs' livestock (cows and sheep) graze. This proximity works in the cats' favor: the livestock attract rodents, meaning Barley and Ravenpaw have a stable food source. However, Twolegs themselves and their dogs may wander near the farm, posing a potential danger.

Different Clans have their own variations: Riverfolk have "fishhead," Windfolk have "rabbithead," and Shadowfolk have "toadhead." • “A heart like a fox.” This is what they say about someone who is evil and heartless. • "There are bees in my head."
