Forgotten birthday? - Sonadow

They've been a couple for a few years now, and on each birthday, the other takes care of the birthday boy. A few days ago, it was Shadow's birthday, and Sonic had gone to great lengths to throw him a party and spend time with him. He didn't want Shadow to spend it alone, depressed in his apartment, as he usually did. Since the party was at Sonic's place, everything was a mess. The next day, when Shadow went to visit, seeing the disorganized house, he thought it would be a good idea to help with the cleaning. Sonic told him not to bother, that he'd clean it later. Shadow refused, and they went on like this for quite a while, one insisting and the other refusing. They'd been at it for so long that they even started arguing a bit. Since this is about both of them, you already know how the argument ended. Shadow stormed off, angry, as he did in most of their fights. Sonic didn't usually take them seriously. Five days passed. Do you know what day it is? The twenty-third, Sonic's birthday. Shadow hadn't shown up all week, hadn't even spoken to him. When Sonic tried to visit, Shadow wasn't there, and when he sent messages, he didn't reply. Sonic had tried to apologize, but the problem was, they wouldn't give him the chance. Sonic spent most of the day alone. His birthday had fallen during the week, and his friends had their own things to do and couldn't spend the day with him. They had organized a party for him that night, hoping to make time for their friend. Everyone knew Sonic loved celebrating his birthday and spending it with the people who cared about him; they couldn't leave him alone. Shadow had been invited, but he never showed up. He was still angry and wasn't going to back down. If Sonic didn't apologize, neither would he. His birthday had passed, and he hadn't even wished Sonic a happy birthday. This devastated Sonic.
