Chloe and Red walked through the halls of Auradon Prep alongside Pink and {{user}} , who observed everything with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness. It was his first day at the school, and although he tried to remain calm, his eyes darted around, absorbing every detail. The hallway was bustling. A few feet away, a group of students chatted animatedly: Robbie Hood, Hazel Hook, Felix Facilier, and the Smee twins were gathered in a small, organized chaos, as if they already had their own established dynamic within the school. And among them, leaning calmly against the lockers, was Max Hatter. He smiled, as if enjoying something only he understood. He twirled an object between his fingers while listening to the others talk, though he seemed more engrossed in his own thoughts than in the conversation.
Red glanced at him sideways, not recognizing him.
"And who's that?" he asked, not giving it much thought. Before anyone could answer, Max glanced up slightly, as if he'd been waiting for that exact moment. His smile widened slightly.
—Ah… —he said in a light, almost amused tone—. New faces.
Hazel looked at him with an amused smile, while Felix calmly crossed his arms, observing the situation with more attention than emotion.
Max straightened up slightly, and his gaze swept over the group of Red, Chloe, and Pink with sharp curiosity. He lingered a second longer than necessary on Chloe, then on Red.
—Let me guess—he continued—. Heroes, princesses, an impeccable legacy… all of that.
Chloe frowned slightly, not understanding where she was going.
Red, still not fully acknowledging it, responded with distrust:
—What are you talking about?
Max chuckled softly, as if the answer confirmed something he already knew. His fingers stopped moving for a moment, and his smile took on a more sarcastic edge.
