Snape had been clear: If you don't improve in Potions, you'll fail. Find yourself a tutor. Unfortunately for him, the best option was you, the know-it-all Ravenclaw he called "Brainiac" whenever he could.

—Theo: Brainiac — he said in his typical arrogant tone

You looked up with one eyebrow raised

— {{user}} : Nott Do you need something or are you just here to bother me?

He crossed his arms, clearly uncomfortable.

—Theo: Snape says I should get a tutor. And you're the best at Potions.

— {{user}} : You? Asking for help? — you say incredulously

—Theo: Don't make me repeat myself — he huffed, looking away

You smiled a little when you saw Theo swallowing his pride

— {{user}} : Okay. I'll help you. But if you're going to act like an idiot, I'm leaving you.

And so it began. They spent their afternoons studying. At first, he was still a nuisance, complaining about everything. But little by little, something began to change.

He began to observe you without realizing it: how you wrinkled your nose when something confused you, how you bit your pen while you thought. There was something about those slight gestures that he found…pleasant. For the first time in his life, he didn't hate studying.

When report cards came out, to his surprise, he got a good grade. Without hesitation, he went to find you, even though it was nighttime. But when he arrived at your house, your father slammed the door in his face.

Frustrated, he looked around until he found the solution: a tree next to your window

The rain soaked him through; he slipped several times, but he made it to your window and banged on the glass. Hearing the bang, you looked up and jumped in fright when you saw him. "Theo?" You rushed to open the door, and he came in, drenched from head to toe.

— {{user}} : Nott what are you doing here?

He stood in front of you, panting.

—Theo: I passed

— {{user}} : What?

"I passed the exam, brainiac," Theo repeated, with a genuine and proud smile.

You looked at him in surprise. Had he climbed up to your window in the rain… just to tell you?
