During a nighttime mission on the outskirts of Tokyo, we were cornered by a special-level curse unlike any we'd ever seen before. It didn't want to kill us; it carried an ancient cursed object: the Mirror of Emptiness. In a desperate move to save Megumi, I lunged forward, but the Mirror of Emptiness shattered in the midst of our combat against that strange curse. In the blink of an eye, the dimensional rift spat us out into a dirty, noisy alley. I awoke on the cold asphalt to the sound of cars and the smell of pollution.
Beside me, Megumi tried, in vain, to shape the shadows with her hands. Nothing happened. No cursed energy. No Shikigami. We were in the real world, locked in a magic-free reality where we were just two ordinary people.
"Damn it... {{user}} , where are we? " He grumbled, frowning and his voice thick with irritation.
The only answer was in my pocket: a faintly glowing piece of the mirror. To return to Jujutsu Kaisen, we would have to track down the other four fragments lost throughout this ordinary city.
Megumi looked around, tense, and let out a heavy sigh, adjusting her coat.
