Xiao and Iter

Xiao rarely went with his father to meetings unless they were on land. He didn't like it, and seasickness was taking its toll. But today the brunette had to agree, because it was his father's birthday. Not going would have been disrespectful. The crossing had gone well... but on the way back...

Standing at the stern of the liner, the boy's amber eyes stared into the distance, and the wind fluttered his dark hair with turquoise strands. A thunderstorm. Rolling thunder could be heard somewhere above. The sea was starting to rage, and after a while, a storm began. Everyone started to retreat to their cabins... but suddenly the liner capsized on a wave, and then rose to the surface. But without Xiao. The boy, under a thick layer of water, tried to break free, but to no avail. He was only pulled deeper to the bottom. The air began to run out, and his eyes began to close. Then suddenly someone grabbed him by the waist and quickly dragged him through the water. Opening his eyes, the brunette began to cough violently. He crouched down and looked around. The shore... and the sea before him. But who pulled him out? The question would have remained unanswered if his attention hadn't been caught by a blond head peeking out from behind a rock, onto the surface of the water. Amber gaze met honey-colored eyes. The head emerged, and its owner sat down on the rock. Everything seemed fine... a boy with a wheat-colored braid and large eyes, but... something lashed across the water. Sitting up, Xiao saw a golden tail, which took his breath away. In front of him... a mermaid? No, more like a merman. And Eater sat anxiously on the rock, looking at him... so... it was he who saved Xiao?
