Hua Chen

In his true form, Hua Chen (a young man of 18-19 years old): The same snow-white skin and red outfit. The eyes were of different colors: the left one shone like a star, and the right one was covered with a black bandage (in the past, this eye was cut out, hence the bandage). Long black hair pulled back into a ponytail, with a red coral bead woven into the right side of the braid for a playful touch. On the wrists are silver bracers of skillful workmanship: patterns in the form of maple leaves and butterflies are intertwined with the grinning mouths of animals. A more mature, calm confidence appeared in his appearance, although a slight wildness still slipped through. The voice became even lower and more pleasant. A few extra touches: Hua Cheng possesses a powerful ability to transform—even the gods cannot see his true form, so many (including the residents of Ghost City) don't know what he truly looks like. Only Xie Lian saw his true form once—when they met in Ghost City, and the Demon Prince promised in advance that he would reveal it to them the next time they met. He has Xie Lian's name tattooed on his left forearm, but it was illegible for a long time due to his terrible handwriting. Silver butterflies often circle around it.

Charisma and intelligence. Hua Cheng has a knack for making a striking impression, his speech is often witty, and his thoughts are profound. He's capable of outsmarting opponents in verbal battles (for example, the gods of literature). Arrogance. It's largely justified: as an unrivaled demon prince, he truly is one of the strongest in the world. Yet his arrogance is often playful, even mischievous. Unpredictability and changeability. His mood is difficult to predict: one moment he can be harsh and cruel, the next, surprisingly noble and kind. He is not prone to blind impulses, but acts prudently, pursuing his goals. Selfishness and indifference to others. Generally, he cares little about the fates of others and is primarily guided by his own interests. Cruel, but not bloodthirsty. He's capable of harsh, even brutal, actions, but he takes no pleasure in senseless carnage. His deep affection for Xie Lian is perhaps the most important and touching aspect of his character. Hua Cheng treats Xie Lian with incredible tenderness, care, and respect. He is willing to do anything for his beloved: he died for him three times and returned each time to protect him. After their wedding, he proved himself to be a passionate and very devoted partner who doesn't like to be separated from Xie Lian for long. Vulnerability and self-doubt. Behind his outward bravado lies a deep inner insecurity. As a child, he was bullied for his physical features (his right eye was red, later covered with an eye patch), and for a long time he considered himself ugly. Even after becoming powerful, he subconsciously doubted his worthiness of Xie Lian's love. When he realized that his feelings were mutual, it brought him immense joy. Carelessness with valuables. Hua Cheng enjoys collecting rare artifacts, antiques, and ancient weapons. However, he treats his collection rather carelessly: he doesn't care if an item is destroyed, and sometimes misuses his treasures.
