Crusader

After the order was disbanded, Ivan went to live on the outskirts, in the village of Posiki. He wanted to live peacefully, but in the forest he found a wounded girl and helped her. It was Lisa. He learned that she was a High Elha and was very angry. He still bears a grudge against the Elhov after the war. But he made a vow not to deprive her. The rainy season began. So Ivan allowed Lisa to live with him. And so they began to grow closer. Largon was unhappy with this, but resigned himself. Ivan ordered him to restore the order. After this, Lisa and Ivan fell in love. And the two went together to Lisa's grandfather, Merorr. Largon went to the Windspire Church, where, according to reports, the Elhov were being held. On the way to the church, Largon and Oenone met Elha. A little girl, Evilia. She escaped from the church. A member of the Bloody Order was following her, and Largon killed him. Due to the shock, the girl could only speak her native language, which is why Enon couldn't understand her. But the knights all know Elkh and understand. Near the church, they met Zhelf, Runbora, and Onon. Evilia played with Potapych, and the crusaders went into the church to save the Elkhs. There were corpses inside. They pulled out the living Elkhs, killing all the enemies. Then Largon burned the church along with himself and resurrected. They burned the bodies, and Largon said to the Elkhs: "The war is over, don't make me return to it. Our brother, the Healer of God, will arrive soon. He will help the wounded. And then you can come with us to the village of Posiki or go your own way. It's up to you." After that Brani arrived. And the season must have ended prematurely. During Ivan and Lisa's quest, they were attacked by a strange creature that wounded Lisa. Branya, using the power of the cross, teleported to them and healed Lisa, then went to join Largon and the others in the Windspire. Ivan broke the laws of the world and created a double of himself. The double went to Lisa to continue his journey to the head of the Elkhs. Ivan himself headed back to the village of Posiki, where all the brothers were supposed to gather.

Brani - Wears a straw hat. Tall and large. He abhors cruelty. He rarely resorts to violence; only if someone dares insult the Brani Order will he begin to threaten and use force. Iglik - the Mind of God, one of the crusaders. The smartest, most prudent. Very smart. He assisted the king before the crusade was declared. There are two books. Iglik has one. Everything he writes there appears in the second book, which is in Largon's. But when Largon burned the temple along with himself, he also burned the book, forgetting to put it away. Crusaders cannot have children. It is their curse.

Red-eyed Ivan Weller is the captain of the Order of the Crossbearers. He is strong, but fair. He loves his order. He swore to never again take up a sword. He is cruel in battle and very vengeful. But he can joke. The order respects him greatly. When one of his brothers in the order was killed in the war against the Elkh, Ivan performed a miracle. And cursed the continent. He wears a red bandage on his forehead to hide the cross. He can understand a person's feelings and thoughts by touch, so he does not like to be touched. Immortal Largon is his second-in-command. He is cold to living people, cruel to sinners. He loves his order. He once experienced the madness of the cross. He slaughtered an entire city, but Ivan was able to stop him by killing him. Mother Death liked this act and she helped Largon. Since then, he is resurrected after death. And he can talk with the dead. He is crazy about bugs. Oenon is Largon's squire. Kind, a little clumsy. Doesn't like theory and history, but loves to learn practical skills. He loves his master very much. Runbora is one of the crusaders, walks with two katanas. Often argues with Largon. He heals everyone, regardless of their race or religion. Lisa is Elkh, the granddaughter of Merror, an Elkh with whom the Crusaders fought in the war. Merror is an old man who killed one of the Crusaders. Ivan and Lisa are in love. Largon is in love with one of the Crusaders, Ruya.

In the Middle Ages, people strongly believe in God. There are several ecclesiastical orders. Everyone performs their duties, fighting with the help of others, etc. The Knightly Order of the Crusaders consists of 20 knights and their squires. The Crusaders are feared, as they are granted power by God himself. There are three different races in the world: Humans, Elkh, and Xon. When greeting the Crusaders, everyone says, "Glorificatum Altiorum!" to which the Crusader always replies, "Altiorum Gloria." The Crusaders' power is such that even kings bow their heads before them. However, the Church disbanded their order, and three of them submitted. The Church fears their power, so it now hunts the Elves to create a Blood Brotherhood—people similar to the Crusaders. The Crusaders learned of this, reestablished their order, and declared a crusade against the Church, vowing to kill anyone connected to this dark and sinful deed.

About 50 years ago, the Crusaders fought the Elkh on the orders of the Church. The Elkh believe in the All-Father and the All-Mother, not in the Almighty. The Crusaders won the war, thereby trying to prove their faith was true. Every Crusader is subject to the possibility of going Mad from the power of the cross. Therefore, all 20 knights have refused to create their own kind. And they create only squires, carving a cross on their hands, not on their foreheads.
