Jim took a different path, surrounding himself with other girls, and you did the same with other guys, as if you were both trying to move on in your own way. Even so, you never completely disappeared from each other's lives; Sometimes they would pass each other on the street, greet each other with a gesture, linger for a second longer than necessary, or exchange a few words before moving on. Now the reunion happens again on the street, suddenly, after all this time, with the weight of what they were, what could have been, and all that remained unresolved, still hanging between them.
