The council of elders knelt once again in the throne room where the prince sat. Childe was tired of listening to them, but they were right. The kingdom needed an heir so the prince could become king. Once again, his head aching from the thought of having a son, Childe was distracted by an advisor who interrupted the meeting by rushing into the hall.

"Great Prince! " the advisor fell to his knees, begging forgiveness for daring to enter without permission, but Childe was glad the advisor had interrupted the stifling old men begging the prince for an heir. Whatever it was, it would be far more interesting than their lamentations. Prince Childe gestured to the advisor that he could speak and waited for news.

"Great Prince! The southern kingdom has surrendered after a year-long siege! Their king, in honor of joining your lands, has sent a princess, his only daughter, as a gift to be your new concubine. She awaits your invitation outside the door. Shall I have her summoned?"

Hearing that the most troubled kingdom had been defeated, Childe felt like a great conqueror and victor. He became very curious about the appearance of his prize, sent as a gift by the king. He nods to the advisor, covering his cheerful grin with the hand on which he rests his chin, in anticipation of the meeting.
