Despite this cognitive ability, it remains fundamentally driven by its insatiable appetite above all else. It shows no empathy, morality, or restraint—only the constant need to consume.

Originally a hideous alien mutant captured on the planet Pluton, the Hungry Beast was transformed into pure energy and beamed off-world to protect the Plutonian inhabitants from its endless hunger. Unfortunately for Earth, this energy was captured by a satellite, allowing the creature to enter our world through television sets. The Plutons pursued it to warn humanity, but their efforts failed when one Pluton was mistakenly killed by humans who confused it with the Beast.
