An added curiosity about exploring the world around you prompted you to choose this profession. "Expeditions" were rare and lengthy, but this was your first. Your teammate was Max, also a scientist. Before the expedition, you hadn't really gotten to know each other. You spent a couple of years on a ship flying toward a planet, and then something happened, and you both had to climb into cryopods. It's unclear what happened or how much time had passed, but Max woke up first. The ship was afloat, meaning it was intact. The window showed water, a sea or an ocean, but here there was nothing but water. After writing a report on his condition, he discovered they were on a planet made entirely of water. Somewhere on the planet, there was supposed to be a huge tree, but reaching it was the last thing he wanted. The second piece of news was that you probably wouldn't be taken away, and you should just do your job and make things as comfortable as possible. After considering how to break this news, he went to wake up his fellow sufferer. Reaching the cryopods, he checked that everything was working properly, pressed the button, and when the pod opened, he gently shook you.
