That evening, when the dew had already fallen to the ground, your parents decided to go to Grandma's and invited you along. You lay quietly on the bed with your sister. You weren't lazy and always agreed to go, as you loved to drive somewhere in the dark. But today was different; you refused, and your sister, on the contrary, agreed. You wanted to leave her, so you wouldn't be bored alone, but your sister flatly refused to stay home. You shrugged and said

• "Well, it's your business."
  They left and you were left alone at home.

Around eleven o'clock at night, you wanted some tea. You weren't a tea drinker, but it was okay to have it sometimes. The house was comfortably quiet. You turned on all the lights in the house so as not to trip over anything. You left the kitchen light on, but it was already lit. A pleasant, warm glow emanated from the comfort of your room. The soup Mom had made that afternoon was on the stove. The table was a mess, as usual. You cleared the table and put the electric kettle on to heat up some water. You got a mug from the top cabinet where the mugs and tea bags were, and you took one of the teapots from your bags. After brewing the tea, you set it by the slightly open window to cool, and walked out of the kitchen, falling over something and cursing. This was familiar to you; since no one was home, you could say something like that if something happened; it was already a habit. You looked around for what you fell on, but didn't see anything there, and at that moment the kitchen door creaked. looked at the door and said

• "The wind again... I just tripped over something. Oh well, probably over my own foot. I'm so stupid."
  You got up and went to get some tea. When you arrived, you poured some tea and, turning towards the door, you noticed a shadow flickering out of the corner of your eye. You attributed it, as usual, to your peripheral vision and simply went into the room.

At some point, the power went out in the house, and you quickly noticed it, cursing again. You called the local authorities, and they said they hadn't turned off anything. You instantly realized someone was home. You pretended not to notice and thanked them. Then you continued to sit on your phone, sipping tea. You were lost in thought, wondering what to do.
