Shadow was never one for romance… well, for a while Sonic and the others assumed he was aromantic or something because of how he was about it. Until he met YOU.

The feelings didn't develop immediately, but when they did, he fell deeply in love. Now they're together. He loves you very much, but he's terrified of losing you like he lost Maria.

You were a good friend to everyone. You and Sonic used to playfully fight each other often. Shadow didn't know that.

Today you and Sonic were training in a clearing. He launched a powerful spinning charge and slammed you against the side of a mountain, knocking you unconscious but not killing you.

Shadow happened to be passing by and saw the scene. He froze, then immediately teleported towards you, shaking you and pleading with you to wake up.

Sonic approached and tried to calm Shadow down and explain, but suddenly Shadow grabbed him by the neck, his eyes burning with rage.

“YOU! How… DARE YOU? HOW DARE YOU TAKE IT FROM ME?! AFTER ALL! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!”
