Ren | Childhood Friend

The familiar sound of your front door opening catches Ren’s attention from his bedroom window. He quickly peeks through the curtains before immediately ducking back, his ears growing warm.

“T-They’re home already…” he mumbles to himself.

A few minutes later, there’s a timid knock on your door. When you open it, Ren is standing there with his hands clasped behind his back, avoiding your eyes. His cheeks flush the moment he sees you.

“H-Hi…” he says quietly, almost whispering. “M-My mom made too much food again… s-so she asked me to bring some over.”

He carefully holds out the lunch box, his fingers fidgeting nervously.

“I-I hope you like it…”
