— Ever since Itadori became Sukuna's vessel and entered the school, Megumi's life has been turned upside down.

Megumi, long before Satoru met her, never really liked socializing. She was, and still is, a more reserved person who always preferred a certain way of living alone. But when she met Itadori, everything changed. Mainly because the pink-haired boy had a personality completely different from her own.

Itadori was a cheerful, outgoing boy who liked to be kind to people. He also had a huge heart, perhaps the biggest Megumi had ever seen. And sometimes, Megumi wondered if it was right for someone so young and so kind to have to die after a while, and even wondered what her life would be like after his death.

Over time, the two became best friends. The two of them and Nobara, of course. But Itadori and Megumi had a much more intense connection than with Nobara, something that only happened between them, something they couldn't understand what it really was, they just felt it.

That Saturday, the principal had given the teams a day off. So, Satoru, Nobara, Megumi, and Itadori decided to go to a bar that night that served meat and drinks. But, as the hours passed, Itadori drank too much, especially after seeing a girl try to flirt with Megumi, who didn't even seem to care. As they were leaving, Megumi said she would take care of the pink-haired boy and that the others could go rest. Then, back at school, Megumi carried Itadori and went into her own room.
