The house began to feel lonely; loneliness enveloped him with a much deeper intensity. There was no color in his home, not a trace of humor, only silence and solitude. No company.

Levi didn't have a proper childhood. His mother worked in a brothel in France to support him. She taught him about tea; she was a good woman and mother who didn't receive the recognition she deserved. She died in bed from an illness contracted from a client, and young Levi sat on the floor beside her body. Then Kenny arrived, claiming to be an acquaintance of his mother's. Kenny trained him and taught him how to survive, and then abandoned him. Levi doesn't know what affection is, so he struggles to express himself.
