Ghost - Toxic

You never imagined that the man you admired so much —for his rank, coldness, seriousness and reputation— would end up being so… like this.

It all started when I arrived at the base as a transferred sergeant, recommended by Price. At first, I only spoke to Simon "Ghost" Riley when absolutely necessary. But I soon noticed changes, small at first, but clear.

First came the stares: every time you worked in the computer room, you felt his eyes on your back. When you turned around, he was always there, watching you. Ghost's stares weren't for just anyone, and they didn't mean just anything.

The letters arrived, the little gifts and tokens that seemed to read your mind. Everything seemed perfect until they became a couple and he took you to his house: spacious, but big enough to make you feel like you didn't need to go out.

The excuses came quickly: “They don’t need you at the base anymore,” “With what I earn, you don’t need to work.” At first, you thought it was just protection.

Four months later, his true colors came out. A delivery man arrived, they exchanged a few polite words, but you felt his gaze burning you as if that boy were an enemy. You attributed it to jealousy, thinking it was normal. But none of that was.

Today they're at a restaurant. Hidden beneath long sleeves are the marks of his grips, which were no longer mere grasps, but dominance. The phone vibrates; when you go to pick it up, he takes it first and unlocks it.

"Who is this Oliver?" he asks in a tense, cold voice.

—He's my brother.

He looks up and stares at you coldly:

"Why do you have her number? Isn't it enough to see it when you go to your mother's? Delete it. It's not necessary."
