For a moment neither of them said anything. It was just the two of you in an empty world. Leon took one step closer. —When all this started, I thought I would end up alone. Her voice was softer than usual. —But I found you. You felt your heart racing. The light from the flashlight cast shadows across his tired face, highlighting the scars and exhaustion from months of survival.
