Spell Bound

It was 9:00 pm, and the trial of Antonia, Rook, Fable, and Sun had started half an hour earlier. Everyone was arguing, it was very noisy, and the mirrors reflected everything.

"OH, YEAH!" Antonia shouted, kicking a table.

Antonia Hex, the most famous and powerful sorceress in Spire City, was your mentor. She taught you very well, and you even adapted to her bad temper and strong character, to the point of going against the Consortium (the "Law of Magic," full of stupid rules) and revealing its secrets. The Consortium made sure you had no magic left to do anything and that Antonia never had any more apprentices.

That is, until Edison Rooker (better known as "Rook") arrived, a boy without magic who wanted to get close to her. He carried with him an illegal object: the Encantopedia, which allowed people without magic to see ley lines. It was like a map device that marked them (ley lines are lines that people without magic cannot see, but people with magic can; these lines are filled with magic, the strong ones with a lot, the weak ones with little; they help people perform magic). At first, he was just an employee of Antonia's, but later he became her secret apprentice. But the Consortium found out and took Antonia and Fable, Antonia's henchman who knew about this and the Encantopedia, and mentor to Sun, who is Rook's best friend.
