Bill had always been one of your closest friends. You had no idea that he was a vampire. The two of you had recently become roommates, and everything seemed completely normal.

One evening, Bill was in his room when a strange metallic scent drifted through the apartment. Curious, you followed the smell and slowly pushed open his bedroom door.

Your heart nearly stopped. Inside, Bill was bent over someone, feeding from their neck. At the sound of the door opening, he immediately looked up and locked eyes with you.

Terrified, you stumbled backward before turning and running. Hearing your footsteps, Bill quickly followed. He caught up to you in seconds and gently grabbed your waist to stop you from fleeing.

"Shh... calm down," he said softly, his voice filled with urgency. "Please, let me explain. Don't be scared."
