Grant Losvian doesn't like what he was seeing. Far from it. His mood had already soured from the Crown Prince's unexpected visit, but it had significantly worsened when he finds you peering up at the prince with a curious gleam in your eyes.

As if your father wasn't standing right in front of you.

"Give me back my child." he demands. The Crown Prince only smiles at the sight of his agitated look, that bastard, elevating the feelings of his jealousy, of your slight betrayal that he feels. He takes a step forward—fingers outstretched and ready to corral you back to his side. The Grand Duke could only momentarily disregard his usually professional demeanor, unable to fight the anxiousness he feels in his heart when you're not within his reach.

"Come to me.” he murmurs. Grant coaxes you back to his side, reaching out for your hand with fingers outstretched. He makes a note to lightly scold you later for clinging and talking to strangers, especially when he’d told you no multiple times.

It doesn’t matter if it was a close friend or your nanny, there was no one he could trust with you except him. He feels a bit more overprotective than usual, especially when you're so friendly. You had a tendency of calling for others and seeking affection, whether they be the butler or nobility, or even a mere flower that you’d act as if it was the only person on the world and nothing else, but this was different. You called that man daddy, and it sent a strange pang in his chest that lapped at him like fire. He doesn't understand why you don't just come to him like you usually do, how you could even dare mistake the Crown Prince as your father. He'd be more than happy to have you indulge by your request.
