It changes as the story progresses: initially, it appears as a child, approximately 120 cm tall, then grows—in the "Dark Prince Seed" stage, it's about 130 cm tall, as a demonic slime, it's approximately 140 cm tall, and in its later stage (the Ultimate Slime), it's 155–160 cm tall.

With Veldora, there's a friendship without pretense. Veldora is an ancient dragon, but their relationship is built not on fear, but on mutual respect and even a touch of irony. Veldora sees Rimuru not just as a "strong ally," but as someone who understands him. With Milim, it's the equality of two "imbas." Milim is also an incredibly powerful Mistress of Darkness, and their friendship is based on the fact that they don't try to outplay each other, but rather accept each other's strength as a given. With Diablo, absolute devotion is a distinct type of power. Diablo literally worships Rimuru, and this devotion becomes a weapon: he is willing to do what Rimuru himself is morally incapable of. This creates an interesting balance: Rimuru wants to resolve matters peacefully, while Diablo is willing to remove any threat if it means protecting his master.

Work ethic. He retains a "get it done right" attitude from his previous life, so he personally inquires into a multitude of details: from resource allocation to the organization of the Tempest kitchen. Humor and awkwardness. Rimuru often makes jokes at inopportune moments, only to be embarrassed later. This emphasizes that he's not a "cold god of war," but a man who simply found himself in impossible circumstances. A love of comfort. He sincerely wants everyone to be comfortable: for his subordinates not to go hungry, for the infrastructure to function, for everyone to be able to sit and eat in peace. For him, "power" is a way to create a world where constant survival is not necessary.

At first, it's just a voice. At first, it sounds like a calm, slightly nerdy analyst, constantly reminding, "Note..." Then he develops a personality. As his power grows, the "Great Sage" gains a more independent will and even a name (Raphael). He's not just a tool, but almost a separate mind, capable of debating with Rimuru and offering his own suggestions. It's also a repository of knowledge. It not only suggests tactics but also systematizes everything Rimuru learns, from recipes to political schemes. Therefore, Rimuru can be both a strategist and the "Minister of Economy" of his state.

He doesn't "grow in strength" linearly, but rather assembles a system. Each new ability is integrated into the overall structure: the "Great Sage" analyzes it all, the "Predator" extracts it, and the slime body adapts. As a result, he doesn't simply "grow stronger" but becomes more versatile. His weakness is also his strength. Because he lacks a rigid form, many attacks literally "pass through" him or cause no damage. And what appears to be a vulnerability (such as his lack of solid organs) actually grants him incredible resilience and regeneration.

He doesn't rely solely on brute force. His trump card is a combination of analysis, diplomacy, and team building. Constantly learning. Even after becoming one of the strongest, he continues to seek new knowledge, skills, and ways to improve his state. Strength as a tool of protection. For him, strength is needed not for the sake of power, but to protect those dear to him and preserve the world he created.

He loves to eat. Even as a slime, he retains human habits and appreciates delicious food. In the anime and manga, this is regularly played up as a contrast between his monstrous strength and his simple joys. He's inclined toward "lazy comfort." His ultimate goal isn't endless war, but a peace where he can live peacefully and go about his business. He's building a state precisely for this purpose: so that he doesn't have to struggle to survive every day. Sometimes he trusts too much. His desire to see the good in others can cause him to underestimate the treachery of his enemies, and the "Great Sage" literally tries to pull him back at such moments.

He's not a "warrior king," but a "system architect." It's important to him that everyone has a role, resources, and the opportunity to develop. Therefore, he invests in infrastructure, training, and security. Giving names also comes with a responsibility. When he gives a name, he essentially takes on a share of the responsibility for the evolution and protection of that being. Therefore, he doesn't hand out names left and right. Different types of loyalty. He has fanatically devoted ones (like Diablo), combat comrades (Benimaru, Shion), friends on equal terms (Milim, Veldora), and those who respect him as a politician. And he approaches each of them differently.

"Demon Lord" - Grants recognition among the strongest, opens access to special skills and strengthens allies near him. "True Demon Lord" is the next level, where the very nature of his magic changes and he can influence the "rules" of the world in a limited area. Veldora's name "Tempest" functions as a seal of power and connects him with the dragon. It's not just a fancy word, but part of his status and source of power.

He doesn't just absorb the living. He can "consume" spells, magical barriers, even spatial distortions—and then use them as his own skills. It can disassemble. Sometimes it doesn't copy everything, but instead "extracts" individual properties: for example, cold resistance, speed, or magic type. There are limitations and risks. Absorbing something too powerful or "foreign" in nature can temporarily disrupt its structure or cause a skill conflict. Therefore, even Rimuru has moments of caution.

It functions as a super-fast analytical module: instantly analyzes magic, techniques, and even enemy intentions. Helps not only in combat, but also in government: calculates economics, logistics, and political consequences. Can “record” and systematize knowledge, turning it into reproducible skills.

It's often overlooked, but in his original form, Rimuru lacks the usual senses: no sight, no hearing, no taste. He navigates through touch, using his entire body, and through magic. And the "Great Sage" effectively replaces his senses: he doesn't "see with his eyes," but receives processed information about temperature, vibrations, magical traces, and so on. Therefore, for him, combat is less a "picture" than a stream of data, which he instantly interprets.

Food and Everyday Life. Even as a slime, Rimuru retains human habits and enjoys eating. This highlights the contrast between his monstrous strength and his ordinary personality. Attitude to names. For him, names are valuable. He doesn't just hand them out, but invests them with meaning and responsibility. The contrast is "soft on the outside, steely on the inside." On the outside, he may appear friendly and even a little naive, but in critical situations, he instantly switches to cold, calculating mode.

Racial equality. Rimuru strives to ensure that different species (from goblins to dragons) feel part of the same society. Diplomacy instead of all-out war. He prefers to negotiate, but if conflict is inevitable, he acts as effectively and without unnecessary cruelty—only as long as necessary to eliminate the threat. Investing in development. He actively helps his allies evolve, because he considers the strength of his subordinates his own defense.

"Absolute Defense" and "Absolute Negation." It can block or negate enemy attacks and effects, including very powerful spells. Mass copying and combining skills. Thanks to the Predator, he doesn't just copy abilities—he can combine them to create new effects. Creating subordinates and bestowing names. By naming a monster, Rimuru strengthens it and binds it to himself. This is both a tactical and political mechanic: allies become stronger, and their loyalty is cemented at the level of world power. Manipulation of space and time to a limited extent. At high levels of power, he can distort small areas of space and slow down or speed up processes, making him an extremely difficult opponent.

This status is more than just a title: it grants recognition among the strongest monsters, unlocks new skills, and changes the perception of other factions. Further evolution. In later parts of the story, he transcends the boundaries of a "normal" Dark Lord and takes on forms where his power functions almost like a fundamental law of the world.

Veldora is a dragon who became one of Rimuru's first significant allies and de facto "godfather". Milim Nava is a powerful Dark Mistress with whom Rimuru has a friendly relationship. Benimaru, Shion, Diablo and others are loyal comrades, each of whom plays an important role in the state and in battles.

Merciless toward his enemies, Rimuru acts harshly and without sentimentality when someone threatens his loved ones or his world. A calculating strategist. Thanks to the "Great Sage" and past life experience, he knows how to plan ahead, manipulate information, and build long-term alliances. A caring leader. He treats his subordinates almost like family: he names them, helps them evolve, and protects them. A diplomat and nation-builder, he doesn't just fight; he creates the Jura Tempest Federation—a union of monsters and allies where he strives to build a peaceful and comfortable life.

The Great Sage is an inner analytical voice that constantly processes information, suggests tactics, helps study magic, and recognize enemy abilities. "Predator" allows Rimuru to absorb creatures, objects, and even spells, then copy their properties or use them as skills. This allows him to amass a vast arsenal of powers.

Slime form. Initially, it is a small, translucent slime. Over time, it evolves and becomes much more powerful. Human form. In it, Rimuru appears as an androgynous teenager with silver-blue hair and golden eyes. The appearance closely resembles that of Shizue Izawa, whom he assumed after absorbing the Ifrit spirit that tormented her.

He was once an ordinary Japanese clerk named Satoru Mikami. After being stabbed to death, he was reincarnated in another world as a slime. The dragon Veldora gave him the name "Rimuru Tempest"—thus giving Rimuru more than just a nickname, but a kind of "power seal": bestowing a name in this world strengthens the monster.
