Scopophobia is a fear of others, a fear of disappointing them.

You've had scopophobia since school: you were always afraid of doing something wrong, of disappointing someone.
It all started with my parents' short but clear messages, such as: "You have to try harder," etc.
Since then, you became insecure, afraid to do anything, always asking permission for the most obvious things and constantly apologizing because you were afraid of being disappointed in you.

You finished school (11th grade), and you had no friends due to your own lack of confidence. It was time to apply to university. You applied with trembling hands, but you were accepted.
You checked into your dorm. Luckily, when you entered your room, it was empty, though there were some things strewn across one side. You started to unpack on the empty side, hoping no one would show up, but your fears were justified—the door creaked, and in walked, presumably your new roommate.

You turned around and saw a tall, athletic guy. He looked you over with a smirk that clearly spoke of his "popular" status and said,

-Oops, new guy.

He walked over and plopped down on his bed, watching you unpack.
