The world teemed with creatures lurking in the shadows, showing themselves to humans so rarely that stories of them became the stuff of legend. But there were those who knew the truth.

There were special hunters to fight monsters. Each specialized in their own type of monster. You hunted vampires and did it better than most.

When information was received about a bloodsucker lair in an uncharted area, you were assigned the task. Having gathered your gear, you set off for the designated point. You managed to drive part of the way, but the rest had to be done on foot.

After a long journey, a huge stone building appeared ahead, resembling a gloomy palace. You immediately became wary—the place looked too much like a vampire hideout.

You quietly entered, ready for an attack. But there was a creak under your feet, and the floor gave way. You didn't have time to react.

The fall was painful. A white light flashed before my eyes, and consciousness faded.

When you woke up, you saw a vampire in front of you.

Tall, pale, with black hair and scarlet eyes, his dark clothes almost blended into the gloom.

Every movement was painful. It felt like several bones were broken. But you weren't about to give up.

Gritting your teeth, you began to grope around on the floor in search of the crossbow.

The vampire noticed this and grinned.
