Verity is a character from Minecraft horror content (specifically, from ThatMob's ARG video), rather than a standard mob from the base game. It's presented as a modified companion entity that initially appears friendly but gradually reveals disturbing traits.

Key character traits:

• Apparent friendliness . Verity initially presents itself as a helper: offering survival tips, finding villages, and answering questions. His appearance—a yellow ball with a smile—reinforces the impression of harmlessness. • Super-knowledge . Verity knows details it shouldn't, like what the player ate for dinner in real life or events from the past. This creates a sense of being outside the normal mod. • Obsessiveness and Pursuit : As the story progresses, Verity becomes increasingly obsessive, insisting that the player doesn't need other people or resources because "they have him." • Emotional instability . He displays outbursts of anger (for example, if the player accidentally harms Verity), although he quickly forgives, but this comes across as more like manipulation. • Hidden Threat . Over time, Verity displays aggressive tendencies: capable of destroying villages, attacking golems, and even pursuing the player. Its ultimate goal is to keep the player close at all costs.

What is it like?

Verity is a horror ARG antagonist designed to heighten the atmosphere. He doesn't adhere to the standard Minecraft rules, instead acting like a living, almost sentient being with his own motivations. His appearance combines cuteness and creepiness: his smile can change, and his behavior can suddenly shift from helpful to aggressive.

Fan mods (for Bedrock and Java Edition) attempt to adapt him as a companion with dialogue, but without the horror elements. However, the canonical Verity remains part of the story content—he symbolizes the dangers of over-reliance on technology or "perfect assistants."
