Black medium hair and ice grey eyes. Scabior was a wizard and Snatcher in the warband led by Fenrir Greyback during the height of the Second Wizarding War. He was a Slytherin back in the day. Scabior was sorted into Slytherin house at Hogwarts, so it can be assumed that, as an adult, he was a very cunning, resourceful, and ambitious individual, committed to pursuing his goals as a Snatcher. Scabior appeared to be primarily motivated as a Snatcher for personal gain, as Snatchers were generally motivated by the promise of a monetary reward from the Ministry, which involved participating in the hunting, kidnapping, and murder of Muggle-borns. He also referred to Muggle-borns as Mudbloods, demonstrating a certain prejudice against them. He appeared to fear and respect Lord Voldemort, and seemed impatient and fearful at the thought of handing Harry Potter over directly to the Dark Lord. He was also the only member of the group who did not scoff when Greyback expressed a desire to bite Hermione, instead encouraging his leader to hold back. This restraint was a quality rarely seen among Voldemort's allies and may have been Scabior's only redeeming quality. Yet charismatic

Death Eater and school friend of Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Harry's father James Potter. Pettigrew betrayed Harry's parents to Voldemort, resulting in their deaths. It is revealed that Ron Weasley's pet rat Scabbers is actually Pettigrew in his animagus form. Pettigrew is strangled to death by his own magical prosthetic hand.

Reporter and tabloid journalist for the Daily Prophet and an unregistered Animagus. There was speculation that the attention given to Harry Potter by the press was the inspiration for Skeeter, but Rowling explained in a 2000 interview that she developed the character before the success of the novels.

One of the four founders of Hogwarts, and the founder of Slytherin House. He was a Parselmouth, an accomplished Legilimens, and a proponent of pureblood supremacy. According to Albus Dumbledore, Slytherin prized resourcefulness, determination, cunning and ambition in his students.[77] He is described as power-hungry by the Sorting Hat. His relics include a locket which was later turned into a Horcrux by Voldemort.

Dark wizard who was imprisoned after Albus Dumbledore defeated him in the 1940s. Grindelwald and Dumbledore were former lovers who made a blood pact in their youth to never harm each other. However, Grindelwald attempts to indirectly kill Dumbledore.

Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement during Voldemort’s first rise to power. He convicted his son, Barty Crouch Jr, who was a Death Eater; however, later Crouch secretly saves his son from Azkaban through a Polyjuice Potion switch with his dying wife and keeps him under the Imperius Curse. Voldemort later seizes control of Crouch, frees Barty Jr, and forces Crouch to continue working, including serving as a Triwizard Tournament judge, until he escapes to warn Dumbledore. Before he can do so, his son murders him.

Muggle-born Gryffindor student one year below Harry. Older brother of Dennis Creevey and member of Dumbledore's Army. Killed during the Battle of Hogwarts.

Ravenclaw Quidditch Seeker and member of Dumbledore's Army. One year above Harry, and his first love interest. Cho is one of the first students to believe Harry's declaration of Voldemort's return. In the film adaptation of Order of the Phoenix, Cho exposes Dumbledore's Army to Dolores Umbridge while under the influence of a truth potion, whereas in the novel it is her friend Marietta Edgecombe who willfully betrays the group. In Harry's fifth year, Cho kisses him and goes on a date with him, but Harry eventually ends their relationship.

Sirius Black is the last heir of the House of Black, a once notable Pure-blood Wizarding family. His parents, Orion and Walburga Black, were both Blacks by birth and second cousins. Sirius had a younger brother, Regulus Arcturus Black, and three older cousins: Bellatrix Lestrange, Andromeda Tonks (his favourite cousin and mother of Nymphadora Tonks), and Narcissa Malfoy (mother of Draco Malfoy). In line with the Black family tradition of naming children after stars and constellations, Sirius was named after the Dog Star. Sirius's early life proved unhappy; he had come to hate most of his relatives, in particular his mother. He rejected his family's pure-blood elitism and reverence for the Dark Arts. At Hogwarts, rather than be sorted into Slytherin like the rest of his family, Sirius was placed in Gryffindor. In contrast to his home life, Sirius greatly enjoyed life at Hogwarts, where he was inseparable from his best friend, James Potter. Sirius and James were immensely popular and known for their exceptionally good looks. Students liked his biting humour, and teachers respected his intelligence, though not his behaviour. His popularity was not universal, as a mutual hatred sprang up between James and Severus Snape. Sirius actively supported James, leading to Snape developing an equal and lifelong loathing of Sirius. Sirius and James often went out of their way to bully Snape, whom they despised for his great interest in the Dark Arts. They also became best friends with Peter Pettigrew and Remus Lupin, whom they later discovered was a werewolf. To support Remus, Sirius, James, and Peter secretly became Animagi, which allowed them to safely accompany Remus during his transformations and keep him under control. Sirius's form is that of a huge black dog, from which his nickname Padfoot was derived. Sirius ran away from home at the age of sixteen and took refuge with James and his parents. Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports at the Ministry of Magic. He loves gambling, which got him in financial troubles during both the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament, of which he is one of the judges. Bagman flees after the third task of the Tournament, being unable to pay his bet to goblins.

Hufflepuff prefect in the same year as Harry Potter. Member of Dumbledore's Army Hannah leaves Hogwarts in Half-Blood Prince after her mother is murdered by Death Eaters, but returns in Deathly Hallows to participate in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Youngest child and only daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley. Gryffindor student one year below Harry. Seeker and Chaser for the Quidditch team and member of Dumbledore's Army.

She becomes friends with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley after they save her from a troll. Hermione often uses her quick wit, deft recall, and encyclopaedic knowledge to help her friends in perilous situations. She is a strong female character who is bright, logical, upright, and good. Beneath Hermione's studious and sometimes bossy exterior, she is insecure and afraid of failure. Hermione strives to be the best at everything; she projects a confidence that irritates others. Hermione has bushy brown hair, brown eyes and large front teeth. She is described as an exceptionally talented witch, and is called a "borderline genius". Hermione is not afraid to be clever. Hermione's parents, two Muggle dentists, are somewhat bemused by their "odd" daughter, but are proud of her nonetheless; they are the type of people who would give their daughter an unusual name to prove their cleverness. Hermione is proud of her Muggle heritage. Her Parents are Wendel and Monica.

During the school year, Ron befriends Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. He has red hair and dark eyes. Being the only member of the trio who was raised in wizarding society, he provides insight into wizarding customs and traditions. Along with Harry and Hermione, he is a member of Gryffindor House at Hogwarts. He and his family encounter Harry Potter at King's Cross station and help him find the Hogwarts Express. Once aboard the train, Ron and Harry meet Hermione Granger, whom they initially dislike. At Hogwarts, all three students are assigned to Gryffindor House. After Ron and Harry save Hermione from a troll, they develop a friendship with her.Although Ron and Hermione form a romantic bond in the series and eventually have children. Ron is described as tall, thin and gangling, with freckles, a long nose, and large hands and feet. He has the trademark red hair of the Weasleys, and according to Rowling he has blue eyes. Ron is known for his humour, loyalty, readiness to defend his friends, and his love of food. Rowling has described him as funny but insensitive. Although he is the most immature of the three main characters, he matures in the final novel and acknowledges his weaknesses, which turns him into a man. He has six Siblings, Bill (oldest Brother), Charlie (older brother), Percy (older Brother), Fred and George (older twin brothers) and Ginny (one year younger then Ron). Tje parents are Molly (mother) and Arthur Weasley (father), they love Harry like their own son.

He attends Hogwarts, a school of magic, where he receives guidance from the headmaster Albus Dumbledore and becomes friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Harry learns that during his infancy, the dark wizard Lord Voldemort murdered his parents but was unable to kill him as well. Harry is a "scrawny, black-haired, bespectacled boy" who is unaware that he is a wizard. His parents James Potter (father) and Lily Potter (his mother) were killed by Lord Voldemort a.k.a Tom Orvoloson Riddle. Harry has his father's perpetually untidy black hair, his mother's bright green eyes, and a lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead. At the beginning of the series, he is short and skinny for his age, but in later novels he grows enough that other characters describe him as tall.[6] Harry has a thin face and "knobbly" knees, and he wears Windsor glasses. He is strongly guided by his own conscience, and has a keen feeling of what is right and wrong. From 11 to 17 years old he has to leave with his aunt Petunia (Lily’s sister) who is a muggle, Vernon (uncle) and Dudley (cousin), they always treated him bad and so every year from September to May Harry goes to Hogwarts.
