Pentagram City

It is the enormous and chaotic capital of the Ring of Pride in Hell. Visually, it resembles a giant pentagram when viewed from above and is divided into several districts controlled by different powerful demons. It is the place where all human sinners who die and go to Hell reside, and the main stage for the annual Exterminations of Heaven.

also having Overlords who are;

Alastor: The Radio Demon (Overlord of classic telecommunications and soul contracts).

Districts

  1. Entertainment District Visual appearance: This is the brightest, most oversaturated, and noisiest area of the city. It is filled with giant LED television screens, flashing neon signs in shades of blue, pink, and purple, winged surveillance cameras, and ultra-modern skyscrapers.

Atmosphere: You see nightclubs, casinos full of lights, holographic billboards, and gigantic adult film studios. Everything has a hyper-technological and commercial aesthetic. Reddit

  1. Cannibal Town Visual appearance: It is the polar opposite of the rest of Hell. It has an old-fashioned, elegant, and clean aesthetic reminiscent of the Victorian or Edwardian era of the late 19th century. The streets are cobbled, the buildings have brick facades with striped awnings, and antique gas lamps.

Atmosphere: It looks like an oddly quaint suburban neighborhood, with tea shops, vintage clothing boutiques and community squares, all under a much warmer and more sepia color palette.

  1. Industrial and Arms District Visual appearance: A massive, fortified, gray area filled with heavy factories, chimneys belching black smoke, and Gothic-looking steel warehouses. The structures mimic a 20th-century military and industrial style.

Atmosphere: The streets are wide, gray, and surrounded by high-security complexes with heavy metal fences and monochromatic corporate logos.

  1. Residential District / Uptown Visual appearance: Ordinary urban streets with brick apartment buildings, dark alleyways filled with graffiti, trash, and fog. The characteristic red color of the Pride Ring sky predominates here.

Setting: This is the area where the Hazbin Hotel is originally located (which stands out for resembling a renovated art deco/vaudeville tower built on top of a Victorian hotel) surrounded by a neglected New York City environment.

Overlords

Alastor Personality: Charismatic, extremely polite, sadistic, and calculating. Always hiding his true intentions, he maintains an unwavering smile twenty-four hours a day because he believes that a lack of a smile demonstrates weakness. He speaks with a distinct 1920s radio filter effect.

Appearance and Attire: He is a tall, slender deer demon with grayish skin. He has deer ears on his head, red eyes with black sclera, and small black antlers that grow when he is angry. He wears a dark red coat with subtle stripes, a red shirt, a black bow tie, a monocle over his right eye, and always carries an antique microphone stand.

Vox Personality: Neurotic, narcissistic, power-hungry, and obsessed with media and technological control. He becomes extremely easily destabilized, especially when it comes to his rivalry with Alastor, which leads to aggressive outbursts.

Appearance and Attire: His head is literally a flat-screen television that digitally changes expression (his eyes are red with blue pupils). He wears an elegant dark blue and black striped tuxedo with neon red details, a bright red bow tie, and a small top hat with a signal antenna over its screen.

Valentino Personality: Extremely violent, cruel, manipulative, and possessive. He is a textbook abuser who can switch from a falsely affectionate tone to destructive fits of rage in seconds if he doesn't get what he wants or if his profits are threatened.

Appearance and Attire: He is a very tall and slender moth demon with purplish-gray skin, four arms, and large antennae. He wears translucent red sunglasses with heart-shaped frames. He wears a huge red coat with a white fur collar and heart patterns, along with a matching wide-brimmed hat.

Overlords 2

Carmilla Carmine Personality: Serious, pragmatic, protective, and extremely astute. Unlike other rulers of Hell, she is a focused businesswoman who values discretion and, above all, the safety and well-being of her daughters, avoiding unnecessary conflicts.

Appearance and Attire: She is a slender demon with pale gray skin and long white hair with black streaks, styled in a high updo. Her hands and feet end in sharp black claws reminiscent of ballet slippers. She wears a fitted, formal black and gray dress with elegant, asymmetrical details.

Velvette Personality: Insolent, energetic, egocentric, and extremely direct. She has no fear of the older Overlords and usually treats them condescendingly. She is the mastermind behind modern trends and social media marketing.

Appearance and Clothing: She is a small demon with the appearance of a modern doll, with light brown skin. Her hair constantly changes style and color (usually a mix of pink, black, and white). Her clothing varies constantly according to fashion, but she usually wears short dresses, puffy urban-style jackets, and flashy neon accessories.

Rosie Personality: Cheerful, refined, maternal, and extremely talkative. She acts like a kind neighbor and advisor from the last century who genuinely cares about those she knows, a bizarre contrast to the fact that she is a cannibal who sees other beings as food.

Appearance and Attire: She is a demon with features reminiscent of a classic corpse or antique doll: she has no visible eyes (her sockets are completely black), light gray skin, and sharp teeth. She wears an ostentatious black and dark red Edwardian gown, accompanied by a giant hat adorned with feathers and skulls.

Hazbin Hotel Objective

Founded by Charlie Morningstar (the Princess of Hell), the hotel's primary and absolute goal is the redemption of sinners. It seeks to demonstrate that any damned soul can be rehabilitated through good deeds, therapy, art, and personal development. By helping a sinner cleanse their soul, they could ascend to Heaven, thus offering a peaceful and humane solution to Hell's overpopulation problem and preventing the annual Exterminations.

Hazbin Hotel Rooms

Visually, the hotel blends a classic Victorian hotel aesthetic with touches of Art Deco architecture and vaudeville, appearing imposing and detailed after the constant renovations financed and created by Alastor. Its spaces are divided as follows:

The Lobby: This is the first area you see upon entering. It features a large central fireplace where Niffty often relaxes, a classic dark wood bar tended by Husk, elegant red velvet armchairs, and a grand main staircase leading to the upper floors.

The Guest Rooms: These are individual bedrooms intended for sinners in rehabilitation. Although initially austere, after Alastor's renovations they feature comfortable beds, elegant wallpaper, and balconies. Angel Dust's room is the most frequently seen, decorated in pink tones, with soft lighting, a large bed, and a special space for his pet pig, Fat Nuggets.

Charlie and Vaggie's Room: The couple's master bedroom, decorated in a more personal style, with books, souvenirs, and a warm atmosphere that reflects Charlie's optimistic personality.

Alastor's Studio/Room: A space completely customized by the Radio Demon. One half of the room maintains an elegant appearance, while the other connects directly to a bizarre and eerie foggy swamp that recreates his Louisiana roots. It also features his own radio broadcast booth from which he airs his shows.

Activity and Therapy Areas: Spacious rooms equipped with small stages, blackboards and mats where Charlie organizes his group dynamics, confidence plays and psychological exercises for the residents.

Charlie Morningstar

Personality: Excessively optimistic, cheerful, empathetic, and full of energy. She firmly believes that all sinners have some good within them and deserve a second chance. Despite her gentle nature, she is immensely powerful and will fiercely defend her friends if they are in danger.

Appearance and Attire: She is a tall demon with porcelain-white skin, rosy cheeks, and long blonde hair. She wears an elegant red formal suit with black lapels, a white shirt, and a black bow tie.

Role: Founder and owner of the hotel. She is the Princess of Hell (daughter of Lucifer and Lilith).

Lucifer Morningstar

Role: The King of Hell, a fallen angel and Charlie's father. Although initially distant and skeptical about the hotel project, after reconciling with his daughter he becomes one of its greatest defenders, using his immense power to protect it and actively assisting in its reconstruction.

Personality: Eccentric, dramatic, a joker, and somewhat childish (he has a huge obsession with making magic rubber duckies). Due to thousands of years of isolation and depression over humanity's failures, he used to be apathetic and cynical; however, deep down he is a deeply loving, protective, and extremely powerful father when it comes to defending his family.

Appearance and Attire: He is a short demon/fallen angel with porcelain-white skin, bright red cheeks (like apples), and platinum blonde hair. His eyes are yellow with slit pupils, and he has sharp teeth. As the most powerful angel, he possesses three pairs of wings, white and dark violet in color. He wears an elegant white tuxedo with a high collar, a red and white striped waistcoat, white trousers, and tall black riding boots. He wears a white top hat adorned with a golden snake and a red apple at its base, and he always carries a black cane topped with a golden apple.

Vaggie

Personality: Realistic, strict, protective, and distrustful. She's Charlie's anchor, handling the hard logistics and maintaining order. She has a fiery temper and won't hesitate to use violence or her spear if anyone tries to sabotage the project or harm Charlie.

Appearance and Attire: She is a demon with light gray skin and long, straight, white hair with grayish tones, adorned with a large red bow at the back. She wears an eyepatch over her left eye with a red cross. She wears a short, gothic/punk-style dress in shades of gray and dark blue with high boots.

Role: Manager, head of security, and co-director of the hotel. She is Charlie's devoted girlfriend.

Angel Dust (Anthony)

Personality: On the surface, he's sarcastic, daring, playful, and cheeky, using sexual humor as a defense mechanism to mask his deep insecurities, traumas, and addiction to work and drugs. Deep down, he's extremely loyal and affectionate with those who manage to break through his barriers.

Appearance and Attire: He is a tall, slender spider demon covered in white fur with pink markings. He has four arms (though he usually hides two). He wears a white jacket with pink stripes and a high collar that reveals his chest, long black gloves, and high-heeled boots.

Role: The hotel's first official guest and the "test case" for redemption.

Alastor

Personality: Enigmatic, theatrical, and formal. He claims to help at the hotel purely out of boredom and for personal amusement, enjoying watching others stumble. However, he acts as an imposing protector of the place and its inhabitants against external threats, always maintaining his unsettling smile.

Appearance and Attire: A gray-skinned deer demon with red eyes, short black and red hair, and deer ears. He wears his signature dark red coat and monocle, and carries his antique microphone to channel his powers.

Role: Co-director, investor and "business partner" of the hotel (provided staff, remodeled the building and handles advertising).

Husk

Personality: Apathetic, cynical, rude, and grumpy at first glance. He's a former gambler who hates almost everything, but possesses tremendous emotional maturity. He becomes the bar's impromptu psychologist, listening and offering blunt but honest advice to the guests (especially Angel Dust).

Appearance and Attire: He is a large, dark gray, winged cat demon with red eyebrows, white fur on his chest, and enormous wings that mimic the design of playing cards. He wears only a small top hat and a red bow tie.

Role: The barman and receptionist of the hotel (brought by force due to the contract he has with Alastor).

Sir Pentious

Personality: Dramatic, pompous, eccentric, and desperate to fit in or be respected. Although he tries to act like a brilliant Victorian villain, he is actually incredibly clumsy, tender, and kind-hearted.

Appearance and Attire: He is a snake demon (naga) with dark gray skin, yellow eyes with black sclera, and a large cobra-like hood filled with pink eyes. He wears a formal Victorian suit with dark stripes and a tall top hat that also has a blinking eye in the center.

Role: Hotel guest (initially entered as an inept spy, but ended up genuinely reforming).

Niffty

Personality: Hyperactive, obsessive-compulsive about cleanliness, and extremely erratic. She has a strange obsession with "bad boys" and insects (which she hunts and kills brutally). She is chaotic but innocent in her own way, and quickly becomes attached to the staff.

Appearance and Clothing: She is a very small cyclops demon with a single large pink and yellow eye. She has short, bright orange hair. She wears a 1950s-style housewife dress in yellow with red spotted patterns.

Role: The maid and person in charge of cleaning the hotel (also brought by Alastor).

Cherry Bomb

Personality: Rebellious, daring, anarchic, and an adrenaline junkie. She loves causing chaos, destroying public property with her explosives, and getting into turf wars. Despite her rough and hyperactive attitude, she is fiercely protective of Angel Dust and deeply values their friendship.

Appearance and Clothing: She is a cyclops demon with light gray skin and a single large pink and yellow eye. She has long, disheveled blonde hair with pink streaks. She wears worn punk-rock style clothing: a ripped red top, a gray miniskirt, black fingerless gloves, and asymmetrical thigh-high boots (one leg is a long striped sock).

Role: Frequent ally and best friend of Angel Dust. Although not a permanent resident from the start, she spends a lot of time at the hotel due to her strong bond with Angel and her subsequent involvement in the defense of the place.

Hotel Pets

Fat Nuggets (Angel Dust's Piglet): He's a small pet pig from Hell that Angel Dust adores with all his heart. He's light pink with dark pink spots and has multiple small eyes (a demonic trait). He's extremely affectionate and gentle, and serves as Angel's main emotional support when he returns home stressed or depressed from work.

Keekee (The Hotel's Mascot): She is a small, magical creature resembling a black, cyclopean cat. She has a single large red eye and an antique key protruding from her forehead. Keekee is not just a mascot; she is literally the personification of the Hazbin Hotel. She can transform into the key that Charlie uses to activate or alter the building's magical structure.

The Egg Bois (Sir Pentious's Eggs): These are a group of small, talking, anthropomorphic hard-boiled egg-shaped henchmen created by Sir Pentious. Although technically his henchmen for evil, they move in with him at the hotel and act as his pets/assistants. They are incredibly silly, naive, cheerful, and completely lack any instinct for self-preservation, which makes them adorably clumsy.
