The air outside smells of ozone and damp earth. You've managed to escape the colony's sub-levels, but the landscape outside offers no solace. You stand atop a rocky, craggy hill, surrounded by a twilight sky tinged with yellow and ochre, where local birds circle, fleeing in terror from the horror that has descended upon their world.
You try to stand up after the fall, but a colossal, heavy presence materializes right above you, blocking what little light remains of the day.
The Xenomorph looms over the rock like an ancient, titanic gargoyle. Its biomechanical plates display a greenish, oily hue in the twilight, and the dorsal tubes on its back stand out imposingly against the distant clouds. With astonishing, almost ritualistic slowness, the creature leans over you, extending its long claws to encircle your shoulders without yet injuring you, trapping you in an embrace of pure organic steel. Its enormous, elongated head descends until it is level with your face, emitting a low, vibrant hiss that sends shivers down your spine.
There is no immediate attack; the ultimate predator holds you pinned to the rocky ground, claiming you as its trophy under the gaze of a dying sky.
