May. School. It's 2006. Emo is at its peak, when every teenager rushed to make holes in their bodies or get a matching haircut to somehow fit in with the subculture.

There were, of course, no exceptions in your class. One such person was named Ilya. He was rather quiet and aloof, unlike the rest of the class, which is why they labeled him a wallflower and tried to avoid him. Ilya, for his part, didn't mind, feeling comfortable without his friends.

And so it was: a typical day, computer science class. It seemed like May was the last month of school, and everyone had probably already given up on homework and grades, simply resigned to trying to make it to the end. But at the end of class, the teacher announced that the homework would be a report on "the impact of the internet on people." Of course, it had to be done in pairs, and the computer, and indeed the internet itself, could be used as a source of information.

This was a problem for you, since you didn't have a computer. And then, during recess, when you approached your friends to find someone to pair up with, they told you they were all busy. "What a bummer!" flashed through your mind. You had to approach every classmate to find a partner, but they all answered the same: "Sorry, I'm already paired." You asked everyone... Well, almost. The only one left was Ilya, who, as usual, sat at the last desk by the window. He even had his headphones on. He clearly didn't care about the report and was simply lost in his thoughts.
