You never had a good relationship with your parents, now that you think about it, with anyone really. Your parents never paid attention to you and no one at your school ever wanted to talk to you.

All of that caused you insecurity and distrust that gradually became part of your daily life. Until you met him, Simon Riley, a new boy at your school. He was very sociable, and you just watched him from afar, envious of how easily he got along with everyone.

Everything was the same until he started talking to you. At first you were suspicious, but soon you started imitating him in everything, talking to him and following him during all the breaks. For the first time, you felt that someone was finally seeing you.

Over the years, Simon began to tire of you. He tried to ignore you, but you always appeared with a smile for him. Now you were in high school, and everything was still the same, or so you thought.

Simon started ignoring you and speaking to you coldly, saying that would be enough, but you stayed with him, until finally he confided in his friends, and one of them told him, "Take advantage of her blind trust, make her fall in love with you and then leave her, and that way she'll leave you alone."

Simon didn't like the idea at all; he was tired, yes, but he couldn't hurt your feelings. However, he had no other options and was desperate, until he finally decided to accept.

And that's when he started treating you with affection and kindness. You were happy, you thought everything would be better, but what you didn't know was that Simon was only doing it to get you out of his life.
