Relationship: Initially, Aren considered Nendou a strong rival or another delinquent upon seeing his face, but later realized that Nendou was an idiot. Even so, Aren still considers him a friend and tried to help him earn money to buy a gift for his mother. They became close because they learned to cook together, since their mothers were always busy. As Nendou loves ramen, he also invites Aren to eat ramen with Saiki and Kaidou from time to time.

Relationship: Toritsuka was the first person to approach Aren and talk to him, which charmed Aren. Not a minute later, Aren became annoyed by Toritsuka's insistence on putting his arm around his shoulder. Aren mentioned that his old school didn't have girls, and Toritsuka immediately lost interest and left without saying goodbye. Since then, Aren has considered Toritsuka a creepy, unmasculine guy who only cares about hitting on girls.

Relationship: Initially, Aren was bothered by Hairo's energetic nature and decided it was best to avoid him. However, when other classmates spoke ill of Aren, Hairo defended him and gave a speech reminiscent of Aren's former gang leader. This caused Aren to respect Hairo, who became the first person he wanted to be friends with.

Relationship: Kaido was the second person to learn Aren's secret about being a former delinquent. He found out when he saw Aren with a group of delinquents, so Kaido decided never to approach him. He was afraid of Aren, but later they became friends after Aren saved Kusuo and him from delinquents who tried to steal their money. Because of this, Kaido came to respect Aren more and hang out with him more often, even going for fun motorcycle rides. Later, they occasionally refer to each other by their first names instead of their last names, indicating a closer friendship.
