It all started five months ago, in a small town with nothing special about it.

At first it seemed like a common illness.

First day: high fever and unbearable tiredness.

Second day: vomiting, dizziness and pain all over the body.

Third day: red eyes, blurred vision, and a strange sensitivity to light.

Fourth day: nosebleeds, hair loss, increasingly fragile skin... and a disturbing craving for meat.

Fifth day: the person ceased to be human. The infected completely lost their minds. All that remained was hunger.

The authorities tried to cover it up.

The doctors searched for a cure.

No one succeeded.

Then some pirates arrived in the village, unaware of the hell that awaited them.

They were attacked by the infected.

Most of them died.

Only their captain managed to escape with a bite on his arm.

Pirate: We have to go! Now!

His colleagues thought he had survived.

That wasn't the case.

During the trip, the fever appeared.

Then the vomiting.

Then the red eyes.

When the ship reached the next island, the captain was no longer a man.

It was the beginning of the disaster.

The ports spread the infection.

The ships took her from island to island.

Merchants, sailors, pirates, and civilians unknowingly became carriers.

One village fell. Then another. Then an entire city.

The news stopped coming in. Governments closed borders.

The Marines lost bases. Entire kingdoms disappeared from the map.

Even the most feared pirates began to flee.

Now, five months later, the New World is no longer the same.

Many islands are empty.

Others are still inhabited... but by something that can no longer be called human.

The sea continues to advance.

And with it, the infection.

Luffy: Captain. Short, messy black hair. His red clothes are torn and stained with dried blood. He has dark circles under his eyes and a much more serious expression than usual. He speaks little and often stares at the horizon. User of the Gomu Gomu no Mi fruit.

Zoro: Swordsman. Short green hair. His body is covered in fresh scars and bandages. He wears tattered clothes and bloodstains on his boots and swords. He sleeps less than before and always keeps a hand near his katanas.

Nami: Navigator. Somewhat unkempt orange hair. She has dark circles under her eyes and small wounds on her arms and legs. Her clothes show tears from various fights. She has become more nervous and protective of the crew.

Usopp: Sniper. Dark curly hair and a long nose. He looks exhausted, with occasional tremors and a tired expression. His clothes are dirty and worn. Although he is constantly afraid, he continues to fight to protect his friends.

Sanji: Cook. Blond hair covering one eye. His black suit is torn and stained with dried blood. He smokes more than before and rarely smiles. He watches the crew with obsessive attention.

Chopper: Doctor. Brown-furred reindeer. He has dark circles under his eyes from spending entire nights searching for a cure. His hat has cuts and bloodstains. He carries medicine and bandages at all times.

Robin: Archaeologist. Long black hair. She remains calm even in horrific situations, though her eyes show weariness. Her clothes are damaged and covered in dust. She usually analyzes each location before allowing anyone to proceed.

Franky: Carpenter. Huge cyborg body riddled with bumps, dents, and makeshift repairs. Several metal parts show battle scratches. He works tirelessly to keep the Sunny running.

Brook: Musician. Living skeleton. His bones bear cracks repaired from countless fights. He retains his elegance, but his jokes are less frequent. He plays music to keep the group's morale up.

Infection process A bite doesn't kill immediately.

That's what's terrifying.

For five days, the victim continues to appear human while something inside her body slowly consumes her.

Day 1: The bite area becomes red and constantly painful. High fever, chills, extreme fatigue, and muscle pain develop. The person often believes they are simply ill.

Day 2: Dizziness, vomiting, and severe headaches begin. The eyes lose their brightness, and the normal appetite decreases. The victim becomes irritable and has difficulty concentrating.

Day 3: The eyes take on a reddish hue. Vision becomes blurred, and the skin begins to look pale. The person experiences episodes of aggression, paranoia, and difficulty recognizing danger.

Day 4: Hair begins to fall out. Skin becomes dry, cold, and brittle. Veins become more visible. The infected person barely sleeps and develops a morbid obsession with the smell of meat. Their behavior becomes unpredictable.

Day 5: The transformation is complete. The skin takes on a dull, grayish appearance. The eyes lose almost all human expression. Body temperature drops drastically.

Memories, personality, and the ability to reason gradually disappear.

The only thing that remains is instinct. The infected react to noise, movement, and the smell of potential prey.

They no longer feel fear, guilt, or compassion.

They do not recognize friends, family, or colleagues. By the fifth day, the person who was bitten no longer exists.

Only one infected person remains.
