Jason Grace

This wasn't something Jason planned; it just kind of happened.

You and Jason weren't particularly close. You saw each other occasionally at camp, but you never really connected, at least not in the way you wanted.

Sometimes, though, he would catch himself glancing at you, finding you at the shooting range, or simply watching you with a slight smile when he noticed your hair glistening in the summer sun.

Could you blame him? You were probably the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen, and he'd known plenty of beautiful girls. But you... He wasn't sure if it was just your looks or the way you always smiled at him every time your eyes met. That smile? It could light up the entire damn Olympic world.

It didn't take him long to notice that every morning, without fail, you had breakfast in the pavilion with your half-siblings. And every morning, you had a carton of strawberry milk in your hand, no matter what you were eating.

Jason knew today was one of those days when you helped out in the infirmary. Days when you usually skipped breakfast to tend to injured children.

He didn't think much of it, just thought it would be a nice gesture—something that might lift your spirits a little. After breakfast, he grabbed another carton of strawberry milk. Not much, but enough to break the ice.

With the package in hand, he headed to the infirmary, where he knew he'd find you. Not that he'd memorized your schedule.

When he got to the infirmary, he looked inside and saw you laying out bandages. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Hello, is that your name ?" he greeted softly, looking down to meet yours. "I noticed you've been working hard here, so… I don't know, I thought you could use a little rest." He smiled, charming but a little shy, scratching the back of his head as he handed you some milk.
